Light porcelain garden steps beside a sandstone wall, Springwood, Hurst Green

The brief

A high-spec home where the same very large format porcelain carries from the interior out onto the terrace, with every cut scribed to existing stonework.

What we did

  1. 01 Primed and levelled the interior floors, then laid an anti-fracture membrane
  2. 02 Used levelling clips across the whole interior, which tiles of this size need to sit flat
  3. 03 Laid anti-fracture matting outside to handle temperature and substrate movement
  4. 04 Hand-mitred every perimeter and step edge, and scribed each cut to the existing stonework

The result

One continuous surface from living space to garden, with mitred edges where most jobs would use trim.

“For over 20 years, Tile Style has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill, reliability, and attention to detail.”
Michael Clarkson, Managing Director, Rosslee Construction
