Case study · Home · Walton-le-Dale
A dated bathroom turned into a bright walk-in shower room, with large-format marble-effect porcelain from floor to ceiling.
The project
The homeowner in Walton-le-Dale had a dated bathroom that no longer suited them. They wanted something brighter and easier to use, with a walk-in shower in place of the old layout.
We tiled every wall in 1200 × 600 marble-effect porcelain. Tiles this size mean very few joints, so the grey veining reads as one continuous surface around the room and through the shower.
The tiles are fixed with Ultra TILEFIX standard set flexible adhesive and grouted in Tilemaster Grout 3000 in jasmine, a soft off-white that sits quietly against the marble. A chrome trim finishes the window reveal, and the tiling is set out around the grab rails, fold-down seat and shower fittings.
The bathroom suite, taps and fittings came from our sister showroom, Homematas, and luxury vinyl click flooring finished the room.
The brief
Replace a dated bathroom with a bright, easy-to-use shower room.
